Counter-Culture Created

There were many different influences on the counter-culture that we know today as the hippies that was formed around the time of the 1960s. During this time, this counter-culture realized that they could reject the beliefs and actions of the government and the mainstream culture in many different ways. There was different levels of protesting that took place but the idea was formed that it was alright to question and protest what our goverment was doing. I believe that this ideology, which we still hold today, is the big story that comes out of this time period. Do you agree with my statement and what do you think led to this ideology being formed at this time period in history?
